My initial expectation was to learn about the traditional form of yoga. The goals I had when I first started my practice with Gokul was to be more flexible and build on core strength. The challenges I would initially face was to stay consistent with the practice,which I have now in almost 4years have slowly overcome.
As my expectation was just around physical health what came as a beneficial plus was my mental health. Every yoga practice ends with 15-20mins of Pranayama,essentially breathing but that has really improved my inner self.
My physical health has definitely improved in terms of flexibility and my mental health now after almost 4 yrs cannot do without pranayama practice.
The quality in Gokul that I am most appreciative about is his way of teaching the most complicated asana or technique in a very beautifully simplified way.
Anyone joining classes with Gokul definitely is in for a holistic approach to their wellbeing.
